Wonder if that was a legal car. Isn't the law something like a teenager is supposed to only have one passenger, or something like that.
What I found out at work this evening was this:
In front of BK/gas station in BSG one coal truck broke down while heading up towards US23, pulled off as far as he could. Service truck came and pulled up grill-to-grill with it to work on it.
Another coal truck is coming up the hill towards US23.
Car of teenagers coming off US 23 zip across the road to attempt to make it into the BK/gas station while trying to beat the oncoming coal truck.
They didn't make it.
Coal truck sandwiched the car between it and the broken down coal truck - pushed the vehicle up under the broken down truck, knocked the wheels and axle off the coal truck - also does damage to the service truck.
All three made it out alive but not well. One (at the time I was told this) was in bad shape.

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
There is - I think it's only one other passenger unless it's family or something similar.
There were 3 in this car but I dont know if they were related.
We can only pray for a positive outcome for all involved.

Any updates?
I was called about 4:45 that evening to see about removing what was thought to be around 100 gallons of fuel that was believed to be in a ruptured tank on one of the trucks so it could be moved.
Turned out the fuel was already gone amyway.
I had come through there less that 1/2 hour before the accident. There was a minor fender bender on the other side of the road at that time. I wonder if it was still there and was a distraction for some involved in the bigger wreck?

As it was described to me: the kids in the car simply tried to beat the oncoming coal truck when crossing the road into Burger King.

The only update I have on accident victims injuries is from Saturday. At least it sounds like there's hope for the most seriously injured one now.
